The Sungai Kedamaian Small Hydropower Plant (SHP Sg. Kedamaian) is a 2.0 MW facility located in Kota Belud, Sabah, commissioned in August 2009 and operating for approximately 17 years, contributing to renewable energy generation in the region. The project was initially developed by Tiaracon Engineering Sdn. Bhd. and later operated under Esajadi Power Sdn. Bhd., before facing financial difficulties in 2019 and being placed under Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad (BPMB) with Deloitte appointed as Receiver and Manager; it was subsequently acquired by Mountreach Energy Sdn. Bhd. (MESB) in 2023. Following the acquisition, Multi Skilled Ventures Sdn. Bhd. entered into a joint venture with MESB to oversee the operation and maintenance of the plant, which has since demonstrated stable performance with potential for increased generation beyond the existing 2.0 MW capacity.
